I realise that this is going to be a slightly different type of post for me, but this blog is called ‘all about the girl’ so I figured I would let you into a secret…I occasionally like to dabble in a little online gambling. Don’t worry, I don’t feel the need to say ‘Hi, my name is Caroline and I have a gambling addiction’ it’s very occasional, and just a little bit of fun.
So imagine my excitement when I was asked if I wanted to play bingo online, and then blog about it. I was offered £30 credit to play Gala Bingo and in particular their new game ‘Win Win Bingo’, the best thing about this game is, you get the price of your tickets back if you don’t win!! Essentially, you can’t lose. Gala Bingo is also fronted by Peter Andre at the moment, so if you are a fan of his (unfortunately he’s not my type) then it gives you a little bit of eye candy while you play your game.
This promotion isn’t running anymore, but they always have other great promotions, and without sounding like I work for them (I don't, honest!)…there are HUGE prizes to be won, like actual big jackpots! You can also buy bingo strips for as little as 1p, AND if that’s not enough when you first join they give you £30 credit, literally JACKPOT! Not literally, that’s bad English isn’t it?!
Anyway, I signed up and played to my heart’s content…(I didn’t, I played until my money ran out) but I had fun while I was doing it. And you actually play live, you can watch the guy call out the numbers as they get pulled out. I have to admit though, I did mute it! This is partly because my flatmate doesn’t approve of online gambling, she’s convinced it’s totally fixed and so I’m never going to win, and also because it was (sorry gala!) a little bit annoying…but that might just be me. And, to be fair it really adds to the atmosphere and makes you feel like you’re in a real bingo hall!
But, this is the best bit, if you get a little bit distracted…(X-Factor’s on TV), they mark the number’s off for you, so you don’t have to furiously hunt between all your tickets to see if you have the number or not. Plus they give you a heads up when you have ‘3 to Go’, ‘2 to Go’ and that’s when I’m jumping up and down on my sofa shouting ‘number 46, number 46’!
Unfortunately, I wasn’t very successful, I did win £14.00 at one point, but I had to play £60 worth of credit before I could withdraw! But, and I’m not just saying this, I’m not a lucky person. I can imagine if the boy signed up to Gala Bingo, he’d play once and win the jackpot…he’s that kinda person! Maybe I’ll go convince him now to give it a go, then he can join me on the sofa jumping up and down!
Anyway, I'm off to spend my last 50p on Deal or No Deal!

P.S. I know this isn't my usual type of post, clothes, dresses, make up, and other shenanigans will resume again soon :)
