worldwide wardrobe competition - travel supermarket - thailand!

So you all know by now that I LOVE a good competition, and when Travel Supermarket presents me with the chance to win a holiday to Thailand, you know I'm going to be the first in line to enter.

To enter the competition (you can find all details here) you have to put together an outfit to wear to the various destinations, there are five different destinations and I'm starting with the 'partying to the full moon party in Thailand' outfit, because that's where I'm most yearning to be right now!

1. Accessorize Elephant Long Pendant - £10.00
2.  River Island Gold Croc Metallic T Bar Sandals - £18.00
3. ASOS Maxi Skirt in Border Print - £40.00
4. New Look Pink Frame Pilot Sunglasses - £4.99
5/6. Topshop Bandeau Bikini Top and Bottoms - £21.00

TOTAL - £93.99

Thailand to me means bringing out my inner hippy, and what better way to do that than a with a floral maxi, the lightweight material and high side splits means you can dance the night away on the beaches of Koh Phangan.  And of course, it's inevitable, at some point you going to end up in the sea right? So it's best to be prepared, and this yellow bikini will not only bring out the colours in the skirt...but it'll show off your tan too!

And dancing into the early hours means my feet have got to be able to stand the pace, so bring in some bling with these bad boys, but avoid those blisters.  And I couldn't resist this long chained necklace, when in Thailand, why not wear their beloved elephant around your neck.

To finish the outfit, a pair of bright pink sunglasses...and when the sun goes down, you can wear them to catch twenty winks when no-ones looking!

And my whole outfit only came to £93.99 which means I've still got £106.01 to splash out while I'm there!

Now I'm off to start planning my New York outfit...

double denim

Now I don't generally approve of double denim, but when it's double denim within the same dress I can definitely get on-board with that.

I was lucky enough to be gifted a Warehouse dress for review, and this little beaut immediately caught my eye, in their 'New In' range of dresses.  And from what I can gather, denim is BIG right now, I've also got my eye on this cheeky little number but right now it's sold out in my size :(

This dress is totally out of my comfort zone, I usually go for a typical girl number, fitted in all the right places, with either floral, frills or a hint of lace, but I couldn't stop coming back to this, and am I glad that I did.  I wore this on Monday for wandering round the shops and having lunch with the in-laws, teamed with black leggings and pumps it was perfect for this dreary 'Summer' weather we're having right now, but I can't wait to wear it with bare legs and my converse when the sun actually decides to make an appearance.

Dress - Warehouse*
Leggings - Asda

So it's nice to be back with an outfit post, long time no see hey, but I'm back with a bang...or just a dodgy fringe.  Anyway, I recommend you all go and check out Warehouse's latest offerings, it's not just the other denim dress I've got my eye on at the moment!

annie bean exclusive laura ashley competition

So when I heard that the lovely Annie Bean was hosting an exclusive Laura Ashley Home competition, I knew I had to enter...£1,000 worth of vouchers up for grabs!

So to enter the competition, you have to show a picture of your bedroom, and then selecting items from Laura Ashley, show how you'd like to 'spruce' it up for Spring.  Now, here's a picture of my 'soon-to-be' bedroom, and I'm sure you're all thinking that it already looks rather nice, (which indeed it is) and why would I need to win this competition...well unfortunately, all this furniture belongs to the current homeowner..which is not me!

And after a recent discovery that we are going to have to spend a substantial amount of money on doing really boring jobs like paying for a new roof (sob), this means that not only am I not going to be able to spend money making the room ours, we're barely going to have the money to buy any furniture for it...plus. I don't really like the colour purple.

So, while Annie said you can pick as little as two items, I got a little carried away, and rather excited about what I could do with our room...and here is my entry:

So the first part of my entry, the necessities.  A beautiful bed, a fabulous wardrobe and chest of drawers, and a lovely comfy chair!! I've always liked the idea of having a bedroom big enough for a chair, where I can curl up a read a book...and of course this is where the throw comes up, wrapping myself up in a chunky knit throw while reading for hours at a time...perfection.

And part two, the frivolities.  You can't beat new bedding, I love yellow and this would brighten up any room for Spring.  The bookcase speaks for itself, I've got the chair..and the throw, so you gotta have somewhere to keep the books?  And then finally, I thought I'd have a bit of fun.  I've got a bit of a yellow and blue theme, so why not add some Alice in Wonderland...a quirky little clock, and these amazing decanter lights would bring a little imagination to the room.

So there's my entry...keep your fingers crossed for me...please!
